The start of a new year means a fresh start, new calendar, and the opportunity to set some goals for the coming year.
What is the difference between a goal and a resolution?
Resolution: a resolve or determination:
to make a firm resolution to do something.
Goal: the result or achievement toward
which effort is directed; aim; end.
My goals for the year are to be better with my time management, cherish the moments I have with my family, take steps to grow closer to my gracious God each day, and make my home a place where everyone who enters feels safe and welcome.
It may have been a mistake posting this. I have read that you have to be careful stating your resolutions or goals, because after spoken there is a part of you that already feels like they accomplished it. I found an interesting video of Derek Sivers speaking on the topic on Ted.com.
I think that I will post a reminder to myself of what I want to achieve this year and what steps I need to do to continue to work on it daily. Looks like some colorful post it notes are in order!
Time to share...will you be sharing your goals for the year, and if so, what are they?
