Getting Real About Getting Fit

I have discovered a way to fit workouts into my day for free! I don't even have to leave my house.

I used to belong to a fitness center, and I would check my kids into the daycare to attend classes or hit the cardio room. I admit, there are times that I miss the camaraderie of working out with a group of ladies, but sometimes it just doesn't fit into the schedule (or budget).

My solution was to purchase a spin bike from a friend's yard sale. She gave me a smokin' deal that I couldn't resist. The next step was to find a way to do a "spin class" in my own home. I searched online and was surprised that there weren't more resources out there. I guess there may not be that many people that own their own spin bike? Anyhow, I finally came across a fantastic site that not only provides some awesome spin workouts, but also HIIT, strength, kickboxing, and lots more! Did I mention that it is FREE?!

 RealFit.tv Real Fitness. Real Convenient.

This is not a sponsored post, I just wanted to introduce you to one of my new BFF's, Dana Lee. Okay, so she doesn't know that we are friends, but she makes an appearance in my house about 5 times a week. We're pretty tight. Her site is www.realfit.tv and it is filled with nutrition and lifestyle tips too. The title of her page is right on, she is "real" about fitness and I feel like I can relate to her. She reminds me of a few of my girlfriends, and she has a great sense of humor. I will warn you, some of the songs in her workouts are not censored and if foul language offends you, well...you've been warned. My favorite workouts are the spin (cycle) workouts of course, as well as the HIIT (high intensity interval training) workouts that I can knock out in about 20 minutes. She is always adding new ones too. You don't need any equipment for most of them, so they can even be done during travel. The only things you need are a water bottle, towel and maybe a mat. The towel is important, you might want two. I have yet to do one of her workouts without sweating like crazy. But, that's a good thing, right?!

Check. Well, it's kind of hard to capture the amount of perspiration my body was producing on an iPhone, but trust me, it's there!

Here is one of my favorites, no equipment needed (except the aforementioned water and towel) and it get the job done quick! Don't be intimidated if you can't do all the reps, just do YOUR best. I have seen a huge improvement in a few months because I have been consistent with fitting in 3-5 workouts a week. You can do it!

Okay, there is my plug. If you are looking for an at-home resource for fitness I recommend you check out the link.
And Dana, if you're reading this (hey, it could happen), next time I'm in Jersey (or you're in Colorado) let's meet up for cwa-ffee. Yes, that was my lame attempt at a Jersey accent.
